Wallet Password Recovery Service
Forgot a wallet password? Non-custodial recovery for Bitcoin Core, Electrum, MetaMask, Blockchain.com and encrypted backups. No recovery, no fee.
Quick answers
Can a forgotten wallet password be recovered?
Yes, when usable encrypted wallet material still exists. Remembered fragments or patterns can make a search more focused, and the free assessment determines whether the complete case is realistic.
Do I have to send my wallet file or password?
No. The free assessment starts from a description - the wallet software, the file or device, and what you remember. If a case proceeds, work runs on a copy of the file in an offline environment under a written agreement; we never ask for passwords through forms or chat.
What if I only remember part of the password?
Partial memory can make a search more focused. Fragments, patterns, years, names and keyboard layout define the candidate list; the more you remember, the smaller the search space. "I do not remember it exactly" is not the same as "I remember nothing".
This service covers every situation where the wallet material still exists but the password or passphrase no longer works.
What we recover
Wallet passwords on encrypted files (wallet.dat, .wallet.aes, keystore / UTC / JSON), software wallets such as Bitcoin Core, Electrum, MultiBit, MetaMask and Blockchain.com, second passwords on legacy Blockchain.info accounts, and additional passphrases that hide a wallet. This also covers archives and documents that hold wallet material - a seed phrase, private key or backup inside a password-protected ZIP, 7z, Word, Excel or PDF - where unlocking the container uses the same search process.
When recovery is realistic
If the wallet file, backup or device still exists, it remains a recovery target; remembered details can make the search more focused. If the file is gone and the password is lost, there's nothing to test, and no service can change that. The deciding factors:
- Any usable memory of the password, alongside the encrypted file or device: fragments or patterns narrow the search, but memory on its own recovers nothing.
- The wallet era and format: older files often use weaker derivation, so more candidates fit in the same time.
How it works
Free assessment, then a written agreement covering scope, security and the fee. Testing happens on a copy of the file in a controlled, offline environment. You regain access and move the funds yourself - we never hold them.
The honest boundary
Without a wallet file, backup or device, there's no encrypted wallet data to test.
How the search actually works
Password recovery tests candidates against the file's encryption - never against a live wallet and never on the original. Remembered fragments, patterns, years, names, keyboard layout or a password reused from that era can make the candidate search more focused. The search runs on a copy in a controlled offline environment, with the wallet format and its key derivation deciding how fast each candidate can be tested. Our knowledge base explains the mechanics, feasibility and honest limits of password recovery in depth.
Frequently asked questions
Can you recover a hardware wallet passphrase?
Hardware wallets are recovered with the recovery phrase; a forgotten BIP-39 passphrase can open a different wallet. If you retain the recovery phrase but not the BIP-39 passphrase, the passphrase cannot be derived or reset from the phrase. Remembered details can make a search more focused; the free assessment determines whether the complete case is realistic.
What if the wallet file or device is gone?
Without the encrypted file, backup or device there is no wallet data against which to test password candidates.
