Litecoin Wallet Recovery Service

Litecoin wallet recovery: wallet.dat passwords, seeds and old backups - free assessment, success-based.

Quick answers

What restores Litecoin?

A Litecoin Core wallet.dat with password memory, an Electrum-LTC seed, or a backup - the same family of routes as Bitcoin.

Why does a restored wallet show zero LTC?

Check the address type (L, M or ltc1) and wallet type - a mismatch is the usual cause, not a wrong phrase.

Is Electrum-LTC seed BIP-39?

No - Electrum-LTC follows Electrum’s own seed format, not BIP-39.

Request an assessment

Litecoin wallets share Bitcoin's family tree, so recovery usually means one of two things: a Litecoin Core wallet.dat password, or a recovery phrase from Electrum-LTC or another wallet.

Which wallets this covers

Litecoin Core and its wallet.dat file, Electrum-LTC seeds, MultiDoge-style clients for fork coins, and any wallet where you hold LTC keys.

What is recoverable

An encrypted wallet.dat file, a recovery phrase (even partial), or a backup. The format rules are close to Bitcoin Core, which makes them well documented.

What is not recoverable

A completely lost phrase with no file and no backup, or a wallet.dat whose password is lost and file gone.

How it works

Assessment, written agreement, controlled testing on copies. You move your LTC yourself after recovery.

See our Litecoin Core guide for the specific steps.

Practical notes

  • LTC addresses start with L (legacy), M (P2SH) or ltc1 (bech32); restoring into the wrong one of the three silently returns a zero balance, so change the address type in the wallet software before assuming the phrase or file itself is bad.
  • Litecoin Core wallet.dat encryption follows Bitcoin Core's scheme, so a password search works the same way - on a copy, against the file.
  • Electrum-LTC seeds follow Electrum's own format, not BIP39; a BIP39 checker will wrongly call a valid LTC seed invalid.

When professional recovery is the right call

  • A Litecoin Core wallet.dat with a forgotten password: the search tests candidates against the file's Bitcoin Core-style encryption, on a copy, and a remembered password pattern or era narrows it.
  • A recovery phrase with missing or uncertain words: the checksum and word list make a bounded reconstruction possible.
  • Old Electrum-LTC files or fork-coin clients that no longer run: the format is known and the file is the route.
