Mycelium Wallet Recovery Service

Mycelium wallet recovery: seed, PIN, PDF backups and old accounts - free assessment, success-based.

Quick answers

What is the Mycelium backup?

HD accounts use a BIP-39 seed; Single Address accounts use a PDF backup with a code. Which one you have decides the route.

Why does my restored wallet show zero?

Check the account type and address format - Single Address balances do not appear in an HD restore and vice versa.

Can an old phone help?

If only the old phone remains, stop using it. It is evidence now - the wallet file or backup may still be readable from storage.

Request an assessment

Mycelium is a long-standing Bitcoin mobile wallet. Recovery depends on which account type you used, because the two types back up differently.

What this covers

  • HD accounts: a BIP39 seed phrase (usually 12 words). Restore in Mycelium or any BIP39 wallet.
  • Single Address accounts (older): a printable PDF backup with an encrypted QR code and a separate code.
  • Forgotten app PIN or backup code: the seed (or PDF + code) resets access.

Zero balance after restore

  • HD: check the derivation path (BIP44/BIP49/BIP84) - restoring into a wallet with the wrong type shows an empty wallet.
  • Single Address funds live under their standalone key, not under the HD phrase.

What is impossible

  • No seed, no PDF, no device data. The app has no server-side reset.
  • Mycelium's support can answer questions about the app, but it cannot restore a wallet or reset access. The company uses no social media at all, so any account claiming to represent Mycelium on those platforms is an impersonator.

Old backups and formats

Mycelium has changed formats over the years. Older versions used backups that were not standard BIP39 phrases; newer ones restore with a 12- or 24-word phrase. If the backup was made years ago, identifying which format it belongs to is the first step - the words may be valid for Mycelium's scheme but fail a generic BIP39 restore.
