Toast (XRP) Wallet Recovery Service

Toast (XRP) wallet recovery: backup code, passphrase and old devices - free assessment, success-based.

Quick answers

What recovers a Toast wallet?

The backup code plus the wallet passphrase (XRP-family format). The code is the route, not the discontinued app.

Can app data help if the code is lost?

Yes, if the old device still has the app data - a Ripple secret can sometimes be extracted from it without the code.

Why does my restored account show zero?

An unactivated XRP account shows zero until funded; activation needs the base reserve.

Toast Wallet was an XRP wallet active roughly 2017-2020 and removed from app stores in 2020. It used its own recovery system: a backup code plus a wallet passphrase (XRP-family format, not BIP39).

What this covers

  • Restoring a Toast wallet with its backup code and passphrase.
  • Recovering the Ripple secret from app data on an old device.
  • Passphrase reconstruction; remembered details can help focus a search.

What is impossible

  • No backup code, no passphrase, no device data. The XRP Ledger cannot restore an account from its address alone.
  • Toast is discontinued: there is no vendor support or reset.

Practical notes

  • The backup code and passphrase together are the wallet. Keep the original notes untouched and do not type them into random websites.
  • Pull the Ripple secret from old app data and you can import it into a modern XRP wallet. The address by itself gets you nowhere.
  • If you remember only part of the passphrase, that still helps. Write down every variant you can recall, including near-misses in spelling or word order — a partial phrase still narrows what a search has to test.
  • XRP accounts need a base reserve to be activated; an account showing zero after restore may simply be unactivated.
  • Missing destination tags on exchange deposits are a routing issue for the exchange's support, not a wallet-recovery case.

Backup code and passphrase

Toast is discontinued. Its backup code is an encrypted Toast-specific container, not a phrase or key that any XRP wallet can import. Opening it requires the original passphrase or a compatible recovery route using the matching six-word recovery code. Once decrypted, the Account Secret can be used with XRP software that supports that key format. Preserve the original backup and credentials before attempting conversion.
